Supporting others and ourselves to discover and mobilise community strengths.
Well, what a huge week we had in Kurri Kurri last week! Find out what happened here
With 33 keen AoH community members, we forged through chaos and order and back again! Some days, including the optional activities, lasted from 7am to 9pm and we hardly noticed! There was morning practice (Aikido, yoga etc), community breakfast, welcome circle, session teachings, group processes (Host team coached & participant-led), teaching & learning circles, fun & games, check out, community dinner, evening fun (drumming, learning circle by the fire-pit, celebratory party/dinner) plus much more!
One quote that resonated with people was;
"It feels good to be lost in the right direction!"
And that's exactly what we did; we got lost together and found many new friends and colleagues who shared similar passions, interests and skills! The training was such a huge success that some participants were overheard to say that they were leaving with everything they came for plus much, much more!
A learning community is being developed, with thanks to these participants so, watch this space for more details on a community of practice...
Thanks must particularly go to the gracious Hosting Team who so strongly sensed the field, held the space and supported the visions throughout the week, they are:
Toke Paludan Moeller (Denmark)
James Ede (Denmark)
David Stevenson (Canada)
Deirdre Downie (Victoria)
Jill Currey (Tasmania)
Michaela Kennedy (Sydney)
Dee Brooks (Newcastle)
The "Harvest" is starting to make its' way onto the AoH Kurri Kurri website and there will be more content coming soon!
Check it out, feel free to post any questions and consider joining us next year!!!
